2016 -2017 Company of Mary Theme : "Celebrate Joy!"
Celebrating the joy of sharing with International Students!
"There is a flickering spark in us all which, if struck at just the right age...can light the rest of our lives, elevating our ideals, deepening our tolerance, and sharpening our appetite for knowledge about the rest of the world. Educational and cultural exchanges...provide a perfect opportunity for this precious spark to grow, making us more sensitive and wiser international citizens through our careers."
Ronald Reagan, The White House, May 1982.

News From the Principal

Dear Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School Families,

We had a fantastic Catholic Schools Week which really showcased all of the outstanding aspects of our school community.  The kick-off began with the Family Appreciation Mass and Italian Dinner Night on Saturday, January 28th.   The administrative team wanted to extend a warm invitation to enjoy the kick-off with a complimentary meal which celebrated our families support, dedication, and commitment to Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School.  Thank you to Sister Kathy and all of our sisters and volunteers who helped to make this possible.  The families who attended, enjoyed a beautiful Mass and delicious meal with friends and families.

Our next amazing event was the Annual SJDLS Nun Run led by Violet Kiggins.  Over 300 sisters, teachers, students, parents, alumni, and friends participated in this super fun activity.  The positive energy and enthusiastic spirit was impressive!

During the course of the week, various activities were planned which focused on our community of "Faith, Knowledge and Service" the theme of Catholic Schools Week.  The activities included:  welcoming 17 friends visiting from China, Red, White, and Blue day in which $500.00 was raised to support the Wounded Warrior Fund", a spirit-filled pep rally prepared by student council, special treats and hospitality extended to our teachers and parents, as well as the wonderful SJDLS Annual Talent Show!

We are so blessed to be a part of the Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School Community!

Once again, thank you for your continued love, support and encouragement for our beautiful Catholic School.
