Sometimes at House for All Sinners and Saints we say we are religious but not spiritual.
Spiritual seems individual and escapist but to be religious despite all the negative associations with that word, to be Christian is to be human in the midst of all the other humans who are equally messed up and obnoxious and forgiven.
