"A Placed Called Beautiful"
Sunday Sermon

Our Pentecost sermon series, The Movement continues this week with Pastor Andy's message about a man crippled from birth who was healed and his life was forever changed at a gate called Beautiful. Peter and John's lives were changed as well at this place called Beautiful, as they witnessed the Spirit of God work through them to heal one who was broken. Join us this Sunday as we consider God's call on our lives to become "a place called Beautiful" for people we encounter every day whose lives are crippled.

Acts 3:1-10
Worship: 9:00 & 10:30 a.m.
Council Members Available on Sunday
Welcome Center

Church Council members will be available at the Welcome Center between services this Sunday to answer questions and hear ideas and concerns. In addition, Council members are available at any time via email (see link in black box on left) or in person at church.

Each month, minutes from the Church Council meeting are published on our website - just look under the "Welcome" tab and in the drop down menu, select "Council".
Moving Deeper: A Multigenerational Bible Study on the Book of Acts
Sunday 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Join us for an exciting opportunity to go deeper into the texts that are a part of our Sunday morning sermon series. We start with a potluck meal at 5:00 p.m. (please bring a side dish to share), a brief time in worship at 5:45 p.m., and engage the text for the week from 6:00-7:00 p.m. During the study time, we will have childcare for children under five, classes for kids from K through 8th grades, and an adult study, which includes our high school age youth. We ask that you sign up at the Welcome Center in order to make sure we have enough of the main dish for each week.

Thank You
from Gail Penny

A few weeks ago, Pastor Andy announced my retirement from the staff of Saint Matthew. When people started asking me, "When?", I realized that I made a mistake and didn't include the date. I am officially retired as of today (June 1). This mistake leads me to say thank you to everyone who over the years has given me grace for all of the mistakes that I made. Thank you also for the well wishes I have received since the announcement. I appreciate how supportive you all are and have been over the last 16 years.

For now, my duties have been divided among some of our very capable staff members, Amanda Diehl (website),Jill Okimoto (newsletter), Jack Easby and Kathy Frattini. Any questions you have regarding who to contact may be directed to Kathy Frattini. One very exciting piece of news is that Amanda and Jill will together be improving our social media presence.

I most of all want to thank our Gracious and Loving God, who opened the door and led me to this job, directed my ministry here, and has given me the gift of leaving just prior to the birth of my first grandchild. I don't know what He has in store for me next, but I am stepping out in faith that He is already there, and it is going to be AWESOME!
