"The Beautiful Heart of Jesus"
Sunday Sermon

Five weeks ago, we began the Season of Epiphany with an invitation to "come and see" Jesus the Nazarene in new and fresh ways. Hopefully the sermon series Beautiful Outlaw has opened the door for us to experience the playful, disruptive, extravagant personality of Jesus in our own lives. This Sunday, Pastor Andy will conclude the sermon series with his message about the woman who anointed Jesus with expensive perfume during a dinner party at the home of Simon the Leper. Jesus is eating dinner in the home of a man whose past included leprosy? Beautiful. A troubled woman crashes the dinner party and Jesus defends her irrational behavior. Beautiful. Of all the descriptions we have used of the personality of Jesus, none is more appropriate than that of His Beautiful Heart.

Matthew 26:6-13
Worship: 9:00 & 10:30 a.m.
Ladies Brunch
Saturday, 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Ladies, come hear speaker Andrea Coli at a special brunch served just for you by the men of Saint Matthew. Andrea is one of the speakers for the Women's Spring Retreat at Mt. Hermon, so this is a great opportunity to get a preview. The cost is $5, payable at the door.
SPARK Bake Sale Fundraiser
Sunday

Come Sunday and support our SPARK kids as we raise funds with a bake sale for the Compassion International children we sponsor. You will find lots of yummy goodies between services in Fellowship Hall. If you don't want to eat anything, feel free to just donate some money in our collection jar.
Healing Prayers
Tuesday, 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Our prayer team asks God for a word for you when you come to Healing Prayers. Sometimes God bypasses the team and gives His word directly. One woman came with shoulder pain and God spoke the word "Peace" to her. Her pain went from a "6" to a "4", and she was blessed by that word.

If you have a need for physical, emotional or spiritual healing, come for prayers on Tuesday night in Fellowship Hall anytime between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. This is a time to "Be Still" and let Jesus minister to you.
Ash Wednesday Worship & Offering
February 14 at 12:00 and 7:00 p.m.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent, the 40 days of preparation before Easter. We will have two worship services that include the imposition of ashes on the forehead. Join us at noon or at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14 to be reminded that we came from dust and to dust we will return.

The offering received on Ash Wednesday will be given to Wings as Eagles Ministries in South Dakota for the Feeding the Children Summer Program. This Christ-centered ministry serves thousands of Native American children living in crisis in South Dakota.  A group of 20 will be visiting Feb. 17-21 and Saint Matthew high school students are planning a mission trip there in June.
Midweek Worship
Wednesdays, Feb. 21-Mar 21

You are invited to join us for worship from 7:15-7:45 p.m. on Wednesday evenings during Lent as we spend time in silence, song, and reflection. We are setting aside time each week to go deeper into the Psalm that is introduced the previous Sunday.
