O great and Most High God: look upon these your servants and bless them. Accept their good intentions as incense before You. Guide them, guard them and protect them. Keep them safe from any danger. As You sent the Archangel Raphael to accompany the righteous Tobias on his journey, so now we beg You: send an angel of peace to be a faithful guardian of your servants as they begin their journey to Torbeck, Haiti. May their labor be pleasing in Your sight. Grant that they may return in safety, having accomplished their mission for the glory of Your holy Name. For You are a merciful and loving God, and to You we give glory, to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and
unto ages of ages.
Amen.
THIS SATURDAY
BREAKFAST AT ST. PAUL’S CELEBRATES ITS
20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
This Saturday, March 10, 2018, the Breakfast at St. Paul’s will celebrate its 20 year anniversary. The Breakfast at St. Paul’s is a free, hot breakfast served each and every Saturday to approximately 200 people in Kansas City, Kansas.
The Breakfast at St. Paul’s is an outreach ministry begun by parishioners from St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, in conjunction with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kansas City, Kansas, where it is held. It served its first breakfast on March 14, 1998, and has been in continuous operation ever since. It is estimated that 185,000 – 200,000 people have been fed over the past 20 years.
This Saturday we will gather again to serve breakfast, to celebrate our 20 years, and to give thanks to St. Michael’s for all the support given to the Breakfast. St. Michael’s has supported the Breakfast financially and with many talented volunteers. There’s little doubt that this ministry could not have lasted without St. Michael’s wonderful support. So please feel free to join us Saturday morning at St. Paul’s to celebrate 20 years of feeding the hungry.
