Facts From Around St. Michael's...
Recently the Gardening Angels rearranged some of the statuary around the church grounds. A handmade Episcopal shield has been pIaced in the garden bed near the west entrance, at the base of the peeling bark maple tree. The shield was given to St. Michael’s following the visit of the Haiti priest, Father Lazama. While visiting our parish, Father Lazama stayed at the home of Don and Connie Downing. Don was instrumental in starting the Haiti mission and Connie was President of the Gardening Angels. Both enjoyed gardening as a hobby.

After Father Lazama returned to Tobeck, he had members of his parish make the statue for St. Michael’s Garden. Notice that Kansas is spelled Cansas, as that sounded correct to the Haitian people. It is a special gift, given to our church from our mission church in Tobeck, Haiti. The Gardening Angels hope you will take the opportunity to enjoy it.

Neighborhood Pantry
at St. Paul's
Please remember the Pantry next time you go to the grocery store. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Below is the prayer that our Rector Search Committee has crafted to guide them through the important process of calling a new Rector. Please join them in reflecting on these words as a way of supporting them in the work they have been chosen to do.
Prayer for our Rector Search Committee:
Almighty and gracious God, please guide St. Michael and All Angels in the search for the 9th Rector. May each person committed to this calling trust your guidance to discern your will. Give the Rector Search Committee open minds to receive the desires and concerns of all parishioners. Grant them a creative spirit to overcome challenges with inspiration, resourcefulness, and productivity. May they carry out your works in our community and fully satisfy the needs of our parish. All this we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
