Dear parents and families,

"Our hope is the Lord Jesus whom we recognize as living and present in us and in our brothers and sisters." - Pope Francis

We are approaching the end of the school year, and if you are wondering how many days we have remaining, you should just ask your child. Up and down the hallways I hear the students counting down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until summer break. But hopefully they will realize that until that final day, they are still active learners at Saint Michaels!

Next week our 8th graders will receive the sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday, May 24. It is vital they and their sponsors arrive on time at 6:15 to prepare. Bishop Burbidge will spend time with the 8th graders prior to the Mass, which is a meeting they must not miss.

We are still on the lookout for PTO officers for next year. This is a very important element of our school and necessary to the success of all in our community. If you are interested in volunteering for a position, please email Mr. Cinalli at daniel.cinalli@stmikes22003.org.

The final day of school this year will be on June 9th. PreK's last day is June 1st. Our 8th graders' final day will be on June 7th.

Parents, please send in your registration forms for next year. They are passed due, and registration for next year now goes on a first-come first-served basis for new families as well as returning families.

The Cap. Club trip to the Newseum was rescheduled for May 20.

God bless,

Daniel Cinalli

Greetings from Pre-K!

Thank you to all who came and supported the school auction. The studnets had so much fun at the princess and pirate parties hosted by our preschool techaers.

Please remember preschool's last day is June 1st. We will have an end of the year celebration at 10:45 AM (PreK-3) and 2:15 PM (PreK-4) in the all purpose room in the junior building.

"All life demands struggle. Those who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish, and insensitive to the real values of life. The very striving and hard work that we so constantly try to avoid is the major building block in the person we are today." - Pope Paul VI
