8th Grade Graduation, End of the Year, Summer Reading and Math, PTO
Saint Michael's Minutes
Teaching Children their value as Children of God
Principal's Notes
Dear parents and families,

This has been a whirlwind of a week since our last Saint Michael's Minutes. We held our performance of Mulan Jr., graduated our PreK-3 and PreK 4 students, held Field Day, hosted our 8th grade dinner dance, held our Kindergarten graduation for all our Superkids, allowed students to become the teachers and principal for the day, and held our talent show and 8th grade farewell.

Congratulations to Mrs. Taylor and all our 8th grade students for a wonderful performance of Mulan Jr. Thank you to all the parents and families who attended the play. The cafeteria was standing room only for the production!

Thank you to Mr. Muha and all our parent volunteers for helping to make Field Day a success. The students had a wonderful time and hopefully came home needed some rest and relaxation!

Below is a note from current PTO President, Joe Caporaletti, with information about the past year, and the announcement of the new board.

Also below is an update about Summer Reading Assignments and Summer Math Assignments.

Please remember the final day of school is this Friday, June 9th, and it is an 11:00 dismissal with no AfterCare.

God bless,

Daniel Cinalli

This summer, for current students in grades K-5, Saint Michaels has continued our subscription to SplashMath to fulfill their summer math work. The students will all receive a new log in and password with instructions that will be sent home with their report cards. Once logged in, there will be an option for Summer Program 2017. This program will help the students review the last year's math content, as well as expose them to some curriculum goals for their upcoming year.

6th and 7th grade students will receive math packets to complete over the summer. 6th and 7th grade Honor's Math students have received a workbook to complete over the summer.

Summer reading assignments will be sent home with the report cards. Assignments are specified for each grade level.

PTO End of Year Summary and New Board

This year we set out to have a few strong profitable events to help enrich the lives of our children at St. Michael's School. I'm pleased to announce that we were able to reach our goals with the tireless help of our dedicated parents and teachers. We held three major fundraising events this past year: Poinsettia sales, Turkey Trot and Spring Auction for a total of $26,252.50. This would not have been possible without the help and support of the many volunteers that sacrificed their time and energy this year.  A very special "Thank you" to Michelle Kennedy and Maureen Carlstrom for the countless hours that they spent planning, prepping and working to ensure the success of each event. Our children are forever grateful for all that they do each and every day to help them become better people.

Here is a list of things that the PTO paid for this year.
Teacher appreciation luncheon - $500
Christmas bonuses - $7600
60 Chrome books & 2 charging carts - $18,000
Bus to Bishops Vocational Mass - $300
8th Grade Gift - $300
