Principal's Notes
Dear parents and families,

Just a reminder to check the schedule below for Catholic Schools Week next week (it has been updated with some changes). Please remember that the week begins with 12:00 Mass on Sunday and the students are invited to wear their uniforms to show their pride for Saint Michaels! There will also be a reception following Mass in the school cafeteria.

Due to the Bishop's visit on Monday for a special school Mass, please send all students in to school wearing their normal winter uniform. No PE outfits or dress down day passes on Monday.

Next week to celebrate Catholic Schools Week and support our community there is a canned food drive competition. Please send in cans to ensure your child's team reaches their goal and to support ACCA.

Thank you to everyone who came out to sign up for FACTS Financial Assistance last week. The event was a huge success. If you missed out, we will hold another event in early March.

The planning for this years Auction is getting underway. Please be on the lookout for an information sheet coming home today and be sure to fill it out and send it back in to school. The Auction is an incredibly important fundraiser for our school and it takes a great deal of planning, many volunteers, and very appreciated donations for it to be as beneficial as possible.

There have been an increasing number of children missing school due to illnesses, and this is fine! Parents, please remember that our teachers will work with you and your children when they return from an illness to complete any missed assignments. We want to ensure that sicknesses do not spread, so keep in mind that a child must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.

Hot lunch orders are due by Friday. Please send them in to Mrs. Kennedy to ensure your children eat!

PreK and AfterCare end of year statements will be coming home by the end of the week.

I look forward to seeing everyone tonight for another Spirit Night from 5:30-7:30 at the McDonald's in Bradlick Shopping Center for some fun and of course the free dress down pass!

God bless,

Daniel Cinalli

Hand washing is the first line of defense against infectious disease and the spread of germs to others.  Proper hand washing technique consists of:  (1) wet hands with clean, running water,  (2) turn off tap and apply soap, (3) scrub hands all over slowly, counting to 20 or singing "Happy Birthday" song twice, (4) rinse well, (5) dry hands, (6) turn water off using a paper towel. If water is not available, then use a hand sanitizer if possible.
