Saint Michael's Minutes
Teaching Children their value as Children of God
Principal's Notes
Dear parents and families,

This All Souls Day let as all remember and pray for those who have passed. With our prayers and intentions let us hope all souls are cleansed of their sins and may enter the Lord's embrace in Heaven.

Thank you to all the parents who attended our All Saints Prayer Service yesterday. The parade of second graders dressed up as saints was truly inspiring, and the reports were all very well written and delivered! Also a kudos to our 8th graders for helping their Mass buddies with this project. All our 8th graders demonstrated the care and responsibility we expect of them as leaders of our school.

Congratulations to Mrs. Wenger and thank you to all the volunteers for an extremely successful Book Fair. We had record attendance and raised over $1,000 for our Library collection! Mrs. Wenger cannot wait to find new additions for our students to enjoy.

Parents, please send in your Conference form tomorrow (you may have to ask your child for the form since by now it could be crunched into the bottom of their backpack). If you do not send the form in, the teachers will assign a time at random. The Parent Teacher Conference schedule will come home tomorrow after school.

Health screenings will be next week. There is more information in Mrs. Jarvis' Clinic Corner below.

God bless,

Daniel Cinalli
Principal

Discover Catholic Schools Week Open Houses

November 13-19 is Discover Catholic Schools Week. This is a wonderful opportunity to open our doors and welcome any and all who are interested in the St. Michael's Community and learning more about the fantastic catholic education our schools offers.

Please spread the word to anyone and everyone that we have two open houses that week, one on Tuesday from 9:00-11:00 AM and another on Thursday from 1:00-3:00. A presentation will be given, as well as tours of our school.

Turkey Trot and Poinsettias Sale

We have two fundraisers on the horizon!

Firstly, the Turkey Trot will be on November 23. Forms went home today and extras are available in the office. The minimum needed to participate is $15, and $60 gets the students a ice cream and movie afternoon with Mr. Muha. We also have shirts available to order for the event. If you purchase the shirt, you will be able to wear it on PE days during December! Click here to see the Turkey Trot T-Shirt Order Form.

The Poinsettia sale has begun. We will be selling Poinsettias outside of the Church this weekend (the 5th and 6th), and next weekend (the 12-13). Please tell your friends!  For more information please click here for the flyer.
Online Safety Tips

It seems as if every week there is a new app or program with amazingly entertaining features, but also with potential dangers. Are you left looking for help with age guidelines and information on websites, programs, and apps? If so please click here for a wonderful handout that will help educate you and keep your children safe.

Little Celtics

Preschool Update:

We had a fun day in Lab Learner, learning all about short and tall, we created towers out of blocks and compared heights of our individual towers. We had a special Halloween snack, pumpkin cookies and read a couple of fun Halloween stories.

Parents, please also keep an eye on the weather as it has been a bit crazy the passed two weeks. If the early mornings call for cold, please dress the children appropriately.

God bless,
