Dear parents and families,

Catholic Schools Week was an incredible success for our school and community. On Thursday, the PreK-3rd graders had a very impressive and magical performance from Ronald McDonald himself, and our 4th-8th graders had a pep rally filled with competition and games. The 8th graders ended up winning the pep rally, and will get a free pizza lunch on Tuesday, February 14 from Mr. Cinalli. On Friday we had a wonderful musical assembly for our students that was an engaging and entertaining way of showing how different songs are made. We also wrapped up our canned food drive, and our ultimate winners were 5th and PreK who will receive an extra PE period with Mr. Muha. All our classes hit their goals and will be able to dress down as a class which will be scheduled and announced by the teachers. The total for the week was over 1300 cans raised for our local ACCA food pantry! Way to go Saint Michaels!

Thank you to everyone who came to the STEM Night with Marymount University. The exhibits looked to be very engaging and educational, and the planetarium was quite impressive!

Thank you to everyone who came to the spaghetti dinner on Saturday. I saw many families and students, as well as parish members who wanted to support the school. We raised over $550 for enrollment management while still raffling gifts away and enjoying delicious dinner and dessert. A big thanks for Mrs. Kennedy, Mrs. Carlstrom, Mrs. Prado, Mrs. Paparo, Mr. Luina, and Mr. Stroh for organizing.

Congratulations to our alumni who were achieved Honor Roll at Paul VI this passed quarter:

The Science Fair is next Thursday, February 16. There is more information and a schedule below.

Reregistration information is coming home today. Please be on the lookout for it and call the front office if you have any questions.

A flyer for middle school students and the yearbook club is coming home today. The yearbook is a team effort and gives students the chance to work on desktop publication programs while also shaping the memories that will be put in print. Please be on the lookout for it and ensure your middle school children see it.

God bless,

Busy schedules can often make it difficult to eat together as a family. However, eating together can help improve your little ones eating habits and reduce the risk of obesity.  Research has linked frequent family meals to an increased intake of fruits and vegetables and less fried food and saturated fat.  Also, sitting down together lets you model healthy habits as well as spot any eating problems. In addition, you will be spending quality time together catching up on what is new in their lives!
