Dear parents and families,

"Lent is the favourable season for renewing our encounter with Christ, living in his word, in the sacraments and in our neighbour." - Pope Francis

Due to the extreme weather, we are postponing McDonald's Spirit Night to next week, March 22 from 5:30-7:30 PM. Keep that appetite for McDonald's in check for now and save it for one more week!

Tomorrow students are invited to dress down in Green to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day! Please bring in $1.00 for Student Government to buy gifts for our retired priests next door.

We are looking to expand our club options for students in the coming weeks. If you are interested in volunteering to lead the Chess Club (4th-8th), a Running Club for grades 1-3, or have ideas for other clubs, please email Mr. Cinalli at

Claire's Gourmet will be delivered and sent home on Tuesday. Enjoy the treats!

The deadline for FACTS applications for financial aide is Friday, March 17. Please be sure to get your application in on time. Financial aide is available, but applying is the first step to receiving.

8th grade parents, high school registration is this Saturday, March 18. Please be sure to check with your Catholic high school of choice to ensure you do not miss out.

Yearbook order forms are due by the end of the month. Please be sure to sent them in to ensure you don't miss out on the memories!

Please remember there is an 11:30 AM Dismissal on Wednesday, March 22.

Our Stations of the Cross will be student-led this week. We always invite parents to join us, but please remember students must be walked back to the school before they are dismissed to their cars for dismissal.

God bless,

Daniel Cinalli

It's hard to believe that spring begins next week, which means it's time to start spring cleaning your home after the long winter months.  But before you roll up your sleeves, consider which cleaners to use.  Many cleaners contain harsh chemicals that may irritate your eyes, skin and lungs.  There are many "green" products available, but be careful to read the labels on those products too.  A healthy alternative is to make your own "greener" cleaners.  Here are some ideas:

MICROWAVES: To help clean and eliminate odors, place a small bowl with about a quarter cup of fresh lemon juice in the microwave.  Then run it on high for 1 minute.  Remove the bowl of juice and wipe the microwave oven cavity.  The condensation that forms will help to clean it.  Repeat if necessary.  Baked-on stains should come off with plain water.

WINDOWS/SHOWERS: Add 1 cup of white vinegar to 1 cup of water.  Pour the mixture in a spray bottle. Spray and wipe with a lint-free rag or squeegee, which minimizes streaks.
