Rector's Thoughts

Dear Friends,
As most of you have heard  or read by now,  I will be leaving St. Peter's in August.  Please know that I did not make this decision lightly and there were a number of factors that led to this decision.    While I am certain that God has good things in store for St. Peter's and for all our ministry's, I am also sad to be leaving you, the people of St. Peter's.  In our time together I have come to know and love you. I am so grateful for each one of you allowing me the privilege of being your rector.   We have grown deeper in our faith, shared times of joy and times of sadness, times of challenge and times of growth.  With God's help, and the leadership of your vestry and our Diocese we will all get through this transition.  I know that together we have made a difference in our community sharing God's love and you will continue to do so well into the future.  If you would like to join me  to talk about hopes, dreams and our time together I will be hosting afternoon tea in the Library on June 25th, July 2nd and July 9th from 1-3pm.  I look forward to seeing you on one of these dates.

Blessings,
Ann+
Making a Difference
Saint Peter's Nursery School

The sale starts Friday at 9am and goes until 5pm. Sale also on Saturday from 9am to 1pm. Help is needed at the sale both days and for cleanup on Saturday. Transporting leftover books to Frederick is also needed on Saturday (assuming it is not raining). Contact Barbara A if you can help: bkandreassen@comcast.net . Thank you for supporting the mission and ministry of St. Peter's.
  • Please support our youth mission trip by becoming a share holder in the trip!  The youth will serve the people of Niagara Falls through work projects, partnering with soup kitchens, homeless shelters and senior centers, and volunteering with children's programs. Our trip needs lots of support and that is where you come in!  We are selling "shares" in our trip and are looking for partners in our church family.  Each share is only $20 (you can buy as many shares as you like!)  As a shareholder you share in the mission of our trip with your prayers as well as your financial help.  We will update you with a postcard during our week away.  We will also hold a shareholders dinner on August 28 at 6:00!  That dinner will be our opportunity to thank you, share stories about our trip and thank you some more. If you would like to become a shareholder in our trip please make a check out to St. Peter's Episcopal Church with "youth mission trip" in the memo.  If you would like to support a particular youth attending please put his/her name in the memo as well, this will reduce their cost directly.  If you have any questions please contact Andy Romano, aromano66@hotmail.com.
