Dear St. John Paul II Families,

Happy St. Valentine's Day!  I pray that you and your family have a great evening.  Hopefully the kids don't eat too many Valentine's treats that keep them awake!

In the spirit of Love, I need to ask for your help, in being Christ-like, even when it is difficult.  As you know, we are a big school, with limited traffic flow in our parking lot and in the neighborhood, which will continue to be an issue until we all work together in a few areas:
  • Carpool - Elementary afternoon carpool flows from 3:15-3:30. Middle School cars should move forward at 3:30 OR after the Elementary line ends. (Whichever is later.)  If you are late and miss your pick-up window of time, then join at the end of the line. Please do not cut the line.
  • Walkers - Kindly drive away immediately after the students reach your vehicle, to open space and keep the curbs clear.
  • Rainy Days - our carpool line curves behind the Greek Church on Tracewood Park Drive.  When the line gets long, do not cut, join at the end of the line. On mornings when it's raining, join the line.  Please resist parking and walking your children to the door, which causes added traffic delays.
  • Please obey traffic laws. Do not park in "no parking" zones.  Cross the street at cross-walks. StJPII vehicles should not block traffic. Keep driveways and cross-streets passable...this includes near Temple Sinai.
When it comes to carpool, I would greatly appreciate all of our families joining together to promote a safe and respectful environment. Let's be living witnesses of Christ... showing love, patience and kindness to our extended family and neighbors, as the scripture below so beautifully states.

In closing, I want to congratulate our Middle School Girls on winning the GHCAA Basketball Championship, we are so proud of them!

Have a blessed long weekend and I hope to see some of you at Saturday's Steps for Students,
