Dear St. John Paul II Families,

Can you believe it is the end of September?!  We are quickly approaching October, which is a month full of ways to get involved.  Please make sure to read Saints Weekly for all upcoming events.

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to hear Jason Evert speak, and it was wonderful!  His talk was primarily focused for older students about the value of chastity; however, he had a beautiful message for everyone.  He challenged us as parents to have authentic, meaningful family-time. Everyday we have the opportunity to witness to our children through Christ-like interactions. God has blessed you with the gift of children, and remember the value you have to them in all you do.

StJPII DADS: Have you signed up for this year's first Dad's Night Out yet? It's next Tuesday, October 4th from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. This is a beautiful way for our fathers to grow in their treasured Father role and help in "Forming Families of Disciples". See more details below in "Upcoming Events", including instructions on how to RSVP.

I also wanted to take a moment to thank our fifth graders who serve as Safety Patrol members for doing such an excellent job. A parent recently commented that he loved how our Safety Patrol greeted students and parents with a smile and a "Have a nice day!"  Your smiles and greetings make a difference. Thank you also to 5th Grade Teachers Mrs. Kim and Mrs. Philips for doing such a great job coordinating and training the Safety Patrol members.  Finally, thank you to the Safety Patrol's parents for getting them to school early and picking them up late so that the students can serve - all of your efforts are appreciated as well.  Please remember the Safety Patrol do not walk the kiddos to class; however, they do encourage them with a beautiful smile!

Have a blessed week,
