Dear St. John Paul II Families,

I hope you and your families enjoyed a wonderful long weekend. I even made it out to Saturday's Steps for Students event and it was great to see some of you there.  Yesterday, our teachers had a great work day. While many were on campus preparing for the weeks to come, others spent the day with our Archdiocesan colleagues deepening their Catholic faith.

I need to bring up a couple administrative topics...First, if you need to discuss your child's progress with your teacher, please schedule a conference. While it may be tempting to have a "quick" conversation when you see your teachers if you are visiting campus, it is most appropriate to save those discussions for a designated time so the teachers can give you their undivided attention. While the teachers wish to be accommodating, it's their responsibility to tend to students during instructional time. Finally, please submit all requests for extended student absences directly to me. Students become disadvantaged when they miss multiple days of school. When students aren't here, they lose critical instructional class-time, and it's often very difficult for them to catch up.

Remember - the Online Auction ends tomorrow!   If you haven't already done so, please go online (text "saints" to 71760) and check out the fantastic prizes that are up for bid.  As always, thank you in advance for your generous spirit and for supporting StJPII.

We are in the midst of new student testing, and I would like to ask for your prayers.  Not only are we growing our StJPII family, but we are adding to a tradition of excellence and building our legacy. We're relying upon the Holy Spirit's grace and guidance as we select new students to join our amazing community.  Thank you for asking God to bless us throughout the Admissions process.

Have a wonderful week,
