Dear St. John Paul II Families,

I hope all of you were able to enjoy a long weekend, the first one in 2017.

I have a few things to share with you as we are now in 2017... things are always moving quickly here at StJPII!  Please be mindful of the parking signs in our parking lot, as well as along the streets into the neighborhood. Over the break, I was contacted by a neighbor with pictures of cars not following parking signs. Thank you for helping us model kindness to our neighbors. Also, we are continuing to work on labeling our parking lot so that we can best utilize our spaces for our entire faculty as well as any visitors. Please understand that we have only 91 spaces and 79 total staff, so the only space for visitors is in the assigned spots.  Thank you for continuing to work with us on these traffic issues.

Next, this school year has been wonderful thus far and I wish we would never have to say "goodbye" to any of our Saint family; however, two of our faculty have spouses who are being re-located.  Ashley Kearney, our new Development Director, will be leaving before the end of the school year to New Jersey. She will be greatly missed - she came in and her presence lit up the office with new ideas! Kendall Hibbs stepped into a new position here and has been remarkable in supporting students and teachers in her new role as Elementary Counselor.  She will finish out the school year and then move to San Antonio to join her new husband, a StJPII alumni.  Please see the jobs posted on our website and share with any friends you think might want to join our Saint family.   I am already beginning to review qualified applicants, but would greatly appreciate your p rayers as we look to fill these roles. God always provides the right people to share in our ministry here at St. John Paul II Catholic School.

Lastly, I ask that you keep Mr. Courtney and his family in your prayers.  His mother, Mrs. Loretta Courtney, passed away peacefully last night. We will share details about the celebration of her life once services are confirmed.

In Him,
