Dear St. John Paul II Families,
Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break! It's hard to believe Holy Week is around the corner and we are nearing the end of the school year!
This year has been such a year of Thanksgiving! From opening the doors to celebrate our 30
th academic school year, to the acts of kindness and compassion during Hurricane Harvey, to the fantastic celebration at this year’s gala, we have all been truly blessed. And, final numbers are in and our gala raised approximately $215,000! Wow, thank you for your support. With Holy Week approaching, please remember we will have Stations of the Cross on Holy Thursday, March 29, with an early dismissal of 12:00/12:15/12:30 p.m. and no BASP.
I'm also excited about the upcoming
Crawfish Boil on April 13th!
Be sure to buy your tickets before the Early Bird pricing expires on March 31. Have a blessed week!
In Him we Trust,

Ambassador Program for New Families
It is that time of year again…new students are registering for the 2018-2019 school year and we need YOUR help welcoming these new families!
Through our Ambassador Program, new families are assigned a current family ambassador to help make their transition into our community easier and friendlier. Ambassadors are current parents who volunteer to welcome a new family. We try to match families who have children in the same grade, same gender, and may live close to one another. One goal is to ensure each new student has at least one familiar face to greet them on the first day of school.
We need current families from ALL grade levels in addition to those with new siblings starting in Pre-K and K! We try to honor requests for bilingual ambassadors too.
Please consider sharing your love of StJPII by becoming an ambassador. Duties are minimal and can be done on your own time. All current families are eligible to volunteer!
If you are a current family and would be interested in helping a new family, please sign up on our school’s website by completing the
online form.

FUN IN THE SUN
Friday, May 25 – Volunteers Needed
The search is still on for parents who would like to organize and lead a booth or more for Fun in the Sun day. We would really like some additional volunteers for the Pre-K-1
st area to help come up with some creative new games! This is something that will require a small amount of your time before the event to organize the game but you don’t need to be there all day the day of if you cannot. Thank you so much to those who have already volunteered to help in this capacity!
We are also looking for company sponsorship for our bounce houses and a company that would be able to sponsor some reusable bags for the kids to use to carry their tickets and prizes during the day. If you would like to organize a game or know of any companies that may be interested please email
Kristen Matthew
s If you have any questions about this event or want more information, please don’t hesitate to ask and keep checking
Saints Weekly for the details. All volunteers should be VIRTUS trained and StJPII volunteer approved.
