Dear St. John Paul II Families,

I hope that each of you were able to celebrate Mother’s Day with much deserved family time! Family time truly is one of the most important gifts our Heavenly Father gives us. On Mother’s Day, I was blessed to attend my great aunt and uncle’s 70 th  wedding anniversary! This celebration was a beautiful witness of Christ’s love and a wonderful way to reaffirm our faith to live and love as Christ loves us unconditionally.

Last Friday, we recognized all second graders for their upcoming first Holy Communion. Pope Francis refers to this sacrament as the “Sacrament of Love”. As a St. John Paul II community, it is a blessing to be able to celebrate with them and their families as they share in this unique and intimate way to receive Jesus. We continue to be reminded that through the gift of the Body of Christ, we grow closer in relationship with Jesus.

Can you believe it, we have less than 15 days to go....and then it is summer-time! I hope you all are planning some wonderful summer vacations and time together as a family.

In Him,
