Vern Shultz  and Stratus Technology
Stratus Technology, LLC, located in the Salisbury Business Center (SBC)  offers new technology that will revolutionize the way that we train, educate, market, and sell products and services.  The best way to understand this amazing technology and determine how it might impact your organization is to slip on a Microsoft HoloLens headset and experience it firsthand in 3D with a personal demonstration in Vern Shurtz’s design studio at the SBC.
 
Shurtz founded the company in 2009.  He honed many of his engineering and technical skills serving as a 13-year veteran in the United States Navy submarine force.  His experience includes training as a nuclear mechanical operator, radiological controls specialist, and instructor and course curriculum developer.  He uses a combination of unique and highly specialized skills and talents in his work including gaming technology, engineering and technical knowledge, art, photography, math, design, and software development.  Occasionally he even uses drones to capture images he uses for photogrammetry processing.

Shurtz’s business partner, John Berryman, serves as Business Director and Project Manager for Stratus Technology.  Berryman has been an integral part of the company for the past 7 years.  He is a physics professor by trade with a decade of business management and machine vision experience. 

The company has developed technology and software to produce 3D visualizations of medical imaging scans such as MRIs in AR/ VR.  The new technology provides an immersive visual experience that far exceeds what physicians and surgeons are accustomed to and provides them with enhanced precision in the operating room.  Shurtz has helped companies market and visualize their products and services in innovative and interactive ways with the use of 3-D targeted augmented reality apps and applied the technology to design large scale tradeshow displays.  To learn more about Stratus Technology, click here.

2017 Awards Program
Salisbury, NC, April 4, 2017:  Integro Technologies, a premier machine vision integrator, announced today that it was recognized by the judges of the annual Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards program.  The judging panel consisted of esteemed experts from system integrator and end-user companies.
