AFE to Focus on Gender Issues in the
Wildland Fire Professions
The wildland firefighting profession is not dissimilar from the rest of society in its need to confront and solve the issues of sexual harassment and gender discrimination as it affects women.  AFE is going to look at this issue in our opening plenary panel: An Exploration of Gender Equality and Sexual Harassment Issues in the Wildland Fire Profession.  We are also inviting professionals in the field to participate in a survey we are conducting on these issues.  The survey results will become part of a position paper that AFE is developing, and will also help shape the Opening Plenary. See our Opening Plenary Panel webpage for details.  #AFEgendersurvey
