After the death of her mother, a woman struggles to come to grips with not having children, and make some sense of her life. In her journey she copes with the loss of her mother and the loss of her chance at "motherhood". She curates her mother's closet, the metaphorical closet of her history that reveals memories through objects, stories, and songs and the social context of the times. She struggles to let go of "stuff", of attachments and external opinions and in the process discovers a broader definition of what it means to mother. She becomes the creator/artist/mother of her own life.
BONNIE LEVINSON- Creativity is the mother of reinvention. After spending three decades of her professional life in the visual arts at cultural institutions with such amazing collections as the New York Public Library and SFMOMA, Bonnie decided to reconnect with an earlier passion, the theater. She is a recipient of the ODC Theater New Works Initiative fund in San Francisco where her play Whoops, I Forgot to Have Kids was selected and awarded the opportunity for further development through a staged reading workshop and talk back. She has had two Roundtable Readings at the Lark Play Development Center in NYC. She recently started a new ventureas a theatrical producer. Broadway here we come! Bonnie serves on the Board of the Kenyon Review, the Kenyon College Board for the Gund Gallery, and the Board of the San Francisco Art Institute.
