This October, we have a new shipment of Nittardi wines that has arrived and along comes some
highly rated vintages for your drinking pleasure this season.
At $48 per bottle, we can't recommend the
Belcanto 2014 enough as we have James Suckling highlighting it as
"Outstanding for the vintage"! This is a Chianti Classico made of
90% Sangiovese and small amounts of seven other local grape varieties, including Canaiolo, Colorino and Malvasia Nera.
pure Sangiovese from the single vineyard "Vigna Doghessa" in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti, the Casanuova di Nittardi Chianti Classico has paid annual homage to Michelangelo by having an
internationally recognized artists to create the label and wrapping paper since 1981. The
2014 Casanuova di Nittardi (rated JS 92) is graced by the abstract and highly aesthetic compositions of the Chinese painter Hsiao Chin who can be considered as one of the most important intermediaries of art between East and West.
Nittardi Chianti Classico Riserva (95% Sangiovese) is released
only in the best years. This special selection is grown on the southern slope of the hillside Vigna Alta, at almost 500 m (1,640 ft.) above sea level. Internationally respected wine guides such as Gambero Rosso has awarded the 2013 vintage
3 Bicchieri and James Suckling has proclaimed it as one of the
"Top 100 Italian Wines of the Year 2016", garnering a score of
