TUESDAY 5/22/18
Come out to Lake Flower Landing for a musical performance by Sweet Megg and her wayfaring musicians. Doors open at 7pm, tickets are $15 each at the door or online lakeflowerlanding.com . This musical group will transport you, not to the past but to a new world of their own making. The band is lead by Sweet Megg and the rest of the group seamlessly incorporates elements of New Orleans Swing, Harlem swing, Parisian cabaret, and gut bucket blues into one charming musical performance. Saxophonist Ryan Weisheit reimagines a world where Sidney Bechet, Lester Young, and Charlie Parker blow side by side. Together Sweet Megg, Ryan, and all the Wayfarers create a world where jazz is alive and well and living in New York.
WEDNESDAY 5/23/17

In this workshop, the focus will be on sweet, little decorated dishes for your home and your enjoyment.

In the first class, we will be making the dishes using soft clay slabs and a variety of hump mold shapes coupled with a vast array of decoration techniques. The second class will be GLAZE DAY, where we add color and functionality to your pieces made in the first session.

Using white clay, soft slabs, and a variety of decoration techniques, participants will walk away with a handful of unique and beautiful ceramic dishes. The pieces produced in our class can be used in the kitchen, on the table, as a spoon rest, jewelry catch-all, soap dish, or would also make the nicest little hostess gift for a friend. No experience is necessary and all techniques will be demonstrated step by step in the beginning of class. One-on-One instruction and assistance will also be available throughout both sessions.

Grab a friend, and a glass of wine and let the creativity flow. This is that "something fun & different" that you've been craving.
