Music on Main's Modulus Festival

September 27-30, 2012

Dear Friends:

Tonight at the Modulus Festival you can discover the music of one of today's most influential and celebrated composers.

One Night Stand: Kaija Saariaho explores the tantalizingly seductive and intellectually stimulating work of this Finnish-born, Paris-based composer.

Featuring the Music on Main All-Star Band, the concert starts at 8:00 PM at Heritage Hall.  Tickets are available at the door.

Today, we also launch our Composer Essay Project with the release of "Kaija Saariaho's Lohn - an appreciation" by Music on Main's Composer In Residence Jocelyn Morlock.

Click here to download Jocelyn's essay.

I hope you can join us at the concert!

all best,

Dave

Support Us

What if your donation could help change the future of the performing arts in Vancouver?

What if that donation could also provide opportunities for young musicians to develop professional careers...  inspire artists and audiences to come together as a community of listeners... allow underserved populations to experience the power of live music?

Music on Main is creating a community of listeners who support fresh programming in some of Vancouver's most vibrant neighbourhoods.  Private philanthropy is at the core of Music on Main's support, with a focus on our Founders Circle, Monthly Giving, Fund Drive and occasional fundraising events.
