Why Go On a Roadtrip to RBNY?
Another Tale of Supporters' Culture

One of the highlights of each and every season for D.C. United fans is our legendary run-ins with the MetroStars 2.0  After a decade and a half of futility against us, during which time the NY/NJ club has changed names, coaches and stadia - the results continue to be heart-warming for the Black & Red. Regardless of the hurdles placed before us, we just can't be held back. Period.

We have never needed a silly league marketing department created cup to mark the rivalry. After all, our trophy case is full of silverware while the halls of Harrison remain barren of anything other than spiffy posters for their energy drink overlords.

Last week we detailed the latest chapter in the rivalry that appears in our on-camera story about how this history is woven into our special relationship with the players. The whole They Can't Hold Us Back" saga is just one more layer of Black & Red icing on a very rich cake of victorious memories.

From Alecko Eskandarian's spit-take goal celebration to Jaime Moreno's Double Agent act, the tapestry of trauma for the denizens of East Rutherford and Harrison is replete with interwoven fabric of Metro Playoff Failure (complete with bowler hats).

So many stories, so little time. Come learn about them first-hand from the old-hands on the trip!

Genuine Daft?

Miller Time has a whole new meaning these days and we are quite happy about it! Roy Miller not only lost his head and the game, but his rationale is rich with fail.

So, we are on the edge of our seats wondering in what bizarre fashion the Petke posse can form a circular firing squad this time around.

Do you really need another reason to venture forth to RFK North?!! Why miss out on a chance to be on national television.

A Real Rivalry with History

Want to Make Fun of These Clowns?

What better opportunity to show those boys from Jersey that despite their best efforts, they will never come close to offering the level of support for their club that we do. Novice Norsemen or old-guard of the Empire are still no match for Olsen's Army even in their very own house!

Sometimes it is Just Too Easy

The latest fiasco by our swamp-bound foes just adds ammunition to a target-rich environment of potential taunts. Mike Petke may back his players, but that just allows us to twist the knife a little deeper!

Jimi is busy filling the St. Paddy's Day Roadtrip to RBNY and we would love you to be a part of it.

Drop him a note at roadtrips@screaming-eagles.com to jump aboard the buses!

Vamos United!

All Ages Are Welcome to Come!

The Battle for the preposterously-named Atlantic Cup is the ideal place to begin a young fan's journey to life-long futbol travel!

The early afternoon timing of the match means it is a perfect opportunity to get some of our younger members out to this historic rivalry and make it back at a decent hour!

Any age can come on the day trip option as long as they are accompanied with parent or guardian.

We may not be here to sightsee but by having two buses, we can offer two distinctly different
traveling environments on this short trip.

Whether you prefer a rowdy atmosphere or a more quiet ride up to Red Bull Arena, we can accommodate your needs.

You can bring your own food and drinks for the trip (but please, no glass bottles). DVD's are also welcome for those that want to watch something during the trek.

You will also be able to purchase the latest fashion statement. Bill Hamid's rallying cry and now Can't Hold Us Back Scarf is just $20.

All $20 will go directly to support the wonderful programs run by United for D.C.

You are more than welcome to invite some friends along for the experience.

We have a good time and this is a great opportunity for you to show how much fun it is to be a D.C. United fan!
