Plumbing Tip of the Week:
Clogged Toilet? Check out this secret plumbing trick. Before plunging, add a couple cups of hot water into the bowl. Wait a few minutes while it breaks up...the clog. Putting a little dish soap in with the hot water can also help with the job.
(Sometimes the hot water alone can unclog the toilet and save you from plunging.)

Auto Tip of the Week:
Most of you probably saw the infamous photo of the blue car on River Street, during Hurricane Irma, almost completely submerged in water. However, not all car flooding is as evident. How can you tell if your car suffered flood damage? If you see or suspect water levels have risen above your door openings- DO NOT start your car. Have it towed to your mechanic for further inspection. Starting the car could pump water into the engine and vital parts of the vehicle, causing immediate or major damage down the road. Electrical issues will be the first to present themselves after flood damage.

Mattress Tip of Week;
Do you know the difference between a mattress pad, a mattress topper, and a mattress protector? A mattress pad is ideal for those who want a little fluff to sleep on while still protecting their mattress from dust mites, dirt, and every day wear and tear. A mattress topper is a great way to add a layer of support to your bed. They can range in thickness offering as little or as much added comfort that you desire. A mattress protector does what it says- without offering the extra padding etc..it simply protects your mattress and extends its lifespan.
