Update from Marianne & Scott:
Happy Labor Day! Do you know why we celebrate Labor Day? It honors the American labor movement  and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws and well-being of the country. A little history to start your Funday! We had a great turnout at Paul Allen's Woof Gang Bakery with our partners & Rooter-Man Plumbers raising money for Lowcountry Down Syndrome  Society. Stop in 1601 Bull St for pet supplies & grooming, say "Hi" to Cody Collins & Katie Freifeld!

This week we are looking forward to some of the biggest events of the month! Starting Tues with the Savannah Jaycees for an after hour mixer at Savannah Tap House to see Cynthia Wright, Cheryl Lawrence, Leandrea Mikell, Chris Player, Elyse Molstad, James Hall, Tim Burnsed, Antwan Lang & Rachel Bishop!  Wednesday, off to Allan Barnes Restaurant, Barnes, (on Waters Ave) to see Stephen Plunk at South of Derenne Ave. (SODA). That evening we will be at Top Deck for Maritime After-hours with Billy Robinson, David Mihuta, & Ben Goldberg! Then rushing over to SavannahBEST Connections at Billy's Place to see the vivacious Courtney Rawlins & Nate Schaffer hosting a fundraiser for Coastal Center for Development Services. Excited to see Dr. Ken Boyd, Valerie Dixon, Wanda Bohnstedt, & team! On Thurs we are off to The Civic Center for United Way Campaign Kickoff!! Looking forward to seeing Lisa Clark, Jenny Gentry, & Dr. Todd Cellini. Can't wait for Friday evening, Hubert C. Baker along with 10 other local music artists are putting on a FREE Concert at Kyle Nikola's Baker McCullough Funeral Home on Hodgson Memorial Dr in Savannah! Free Reception to Follow.

On Saturday morning, the incredible Jane Grissmer of Pooler Chamber of Commerce hosts Tunnel to Tower Walk & Run benefiting first responders. Fifteen years after 9/11, Tunnel to Tower carries on the memories of lives lost in the horrible tragedy.  "Among the promises made by Americans after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 were to pay homage to those who perished, and to never allow the pride, heroism, and resilience displayed by Americans in the aftermath to be forgotten.
We continue to urge Americans to honor our first responders, all who lost their lives on that fateful day, and those who have been catastrophically injured while fighting for the country. It's imperative that we celebrate these heroes and honor their legacy forever."

Plumbing Tip of the Week:
When was the last time you cleaned the aerator on your kitchen faucet? If you're experiencing slow water flow, don't assume something is wrong with your water pressure. A thorough cleaning of the aerator may be in order. Soak in vinegar overnight, give it a good scrubbing with a toothbrush, rinse and reinstall. However, if the aerator is eroded it may be time to replace it.
For all your plumbing questions and concerns call your Local Rooter Man team,

Auto Tip of the Week:
Is your steering-wheel, seat, or floorboards vibrating at highway speeds? Those are common signs your car's tires need balanced. It's recommended you have your vehicle's tires balanced every 3,000-6,000 miles. Not balancing your tires can lead to excessive wear and tear on your tires as well as decreased fuel economy.

Mattress Tip of the Week:
Let's have some Pillow-top Talk! Pillow-top mattresses are great for alleviating back pain and are less expensive than memory foam mattresses. However, the comfort of pillow-tops can come with a cost. Some people find them excessively warm, and if you're big into mattress flipping- pillow-tops wouldn't be the mattress for you.

Tip of the Week by Insurance Expert!

What is Whole Life Insurance?
Whole life insurance is a type of permanent life insurance. It's also the most common, according to the  Insurance Information Institute  (III). Like most permanent life insurance policies, whole life offers a savings component, called "cash value," and life-long protection - as long as premiums are paid, whole life provides a death
benefit after you die.
