Animal Shelter Relief Rescue

...to the rescue!

Animal Shelter Relief is an ALL-VOLUNTEER 501 (c) (3) California charitable non-profit. Every donation goes
directly to saving the lives of abandoned, homeless and injured animals.

Our mission is to relieve overcrowded open-door animal shelters
through rescue and placement into foster

homes, thereby reducing the euthanasia of homeless cats and dogs.

A note from ASR's Executive Director and Founder Amy Strickland,

Hello Animal Shelter Relief community!
It's August and we are still inundated with rescue requests from our local open-door animal shelters. Not only are we still in the midst of what is called 'kitten season' (from about April until November), but our local shelters are also receiving many surrendered cats and dogs, and their cages are full.
This is where ASR steps in! We rescue cats, dogs, kittens and puppies that are at risk of euthanasia simply to due a lack of kennel space, and place them into our foster homes until they find their forever homes. For 8 years this is what we have done, all as volunteers, and all
as a labor of love.

Won't you please support ASR in rescuing these abandoned and unwanted animals by making a tax deductible donation today? Or donating food and supplies?
You can make a donation via Paypal or contact me at [email protected] to arrange a donation drop off.

Please take a few minutes to have a peek at just a few of our adoptable cuties, to enjoy a success story, and to learn some of the ways that YOU can support ASR!
Thank you for all you do for the animals...

These two 8 week old pups were rescued by an ASR volunteer from the streets of Watsonville! They're safe now in a foster home and looking for their new families.

Meet Meowth! This little 7 week old boy was witnessed being thrown from a car! He was caught and slightly traumatized but otherwise fine, and is now recovering in a loving foster home.

This here lovely creature is 5 year old Pitty Pat. ASR rescued her and her two furry friends after their elderly owner passed away. She has since then found a new family and is one happy cat!
