Flavor of the Month!
August 2015 flavors of the month are Lemongrass Mint white balsamic and any Northern Hemisphere Single Varietal olive oil!
It's time for the fresh Southern Hemisphere oils to begin arriving at The Spicy Olive so we are discounting the Northern Hemisphere oils so we are ready!
10% Off all Northern Hemisphere Oils until they are gone!
Our vinegar of the month is the Lemongrass Mint, which is great on cucumbers and makes a great Mojito! Here is the recipe:
Lemongrass Mint Mojoto
2 Tablespoons Lemongrass Mint white balsamic
mint leaves and a lime slice
1 jigger white rum
club soda or Sprite or 7UP
Place mint and lime in a glass and muddle together.
Add Lemongrass Mint balsamic, rum and then fill glass with club soda. Stir, taste and add more balsamic vinegar if needed. (If you like your cocktail sweeter use 7UP)
Is also delicious without the rum.
(We served this at my daughter's wedding and they were great!)

Happy August! I am so happy that we are enjoying more summer like weather with less rain! Stop in to any of the three Spicy Olive locations to try our 2 new balsamic flavors this month. They are both great on all the fresh vegetables coming in from the garden or to marinate chicken for the grill. I look forward to seeing you in the stores!

Sincerely,
Melanie Cedargren
