We can no longer do this without more support so we are closing down. All the animals below urgently need a home, if we can't place them we will be forced to put them down. It will probably take about 6 months to place them all so please make a last feed fund donation at 304-269-1333 so we can at least feed these guys until they go to a home.

We have two people giving all they can give and have to have so much more help to continue our work for innocent animals. Sadly without us here they will all die. I am getting ready to shut down the website and will be shutting down these emails, so this will be the last time you hear from me.

If you are an adopter, this does not relieve you from your contractual responsibilities of your adoption agreement. The contracts still exist and must be fulfilled. Since the website will not be available, please email secondwindadopt@aol.com if you need annual update forms, facility move form or anything like that. Our facebook page will also be shutdown as we won't have the time to keep it up in the future.

Thank you to all those who has always helped us over the years. 17 years is not a bad run and i think our final count is close to 2300 animals into homes. I really feel like I could have done rescue and adoption for another 10 to 15 years but you can't do it without funds or support from people who care so don't think of me, think of all the animals dying because we are not there to save them.

I will never understand why people won't even give $25. a month to help the innocent animals, $25. to keep them from dying a needless death or being horrifically abused or why they won't volunteer one day a month. If everyone did that we would never have any animals being put down, they would all be cared for and in loving homes. So your $25. is preventing that from happening... Honestly right now I am ashamed to be a humane, i see everyone taking all their fancy vacations on facebook, driving fancy cars, living in their fancy houses, doing everything they want but its all about them and their big egos. They will leave this world having given nothing or left anything that will make a difference in this world. To me, its the biggest waste of mankind but I now know I can not change anything, people will never care no matter how many animals die. its such a shame, I feel so sorry for the animals who just want to live, be happy and be loved.

These animals need a home urgently, if we can't find them a home very soon, I will be putting them down humanely.
