BRIAN TAYLOR PROMOTED!

Jeff Schwab, Scout Executive has announced the promotion of Brian Taylor to the National Council's Supply Division effective January 16, 2016.

"Brian's promotion while sudden was well deserved." He was a member of the supply group for about 7 years prior to coming to the Georgia-Carolina Council and had done an excellent job for them.
As a member of the Georgia-Carolina Council team Brian helped revamp the promotion for the School Night to join scouting program and the Popcorn Sales. He also lead the District Executives in their daily tasks.

In Brian's new capacity he will be calling on Wholesale Accountants for the BSA in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico. Brian will continue to live in the Georgia-Carolina Council and hopes to be active in a volunteer role when his time and travel schedule allows.

American Legion Eagle Scout of the Year - For more information Please view the following:

February 4, 2016 at 7:00pm - Roundtable at First Presbyterian Church. Instead of having a recognition dinner we are having a pizza dinner and pitch in. Please bring a salad, dessert, chips, or a drink to share and the District will bring pizzas. We will have a presentation of awards, conduct some business, have some fun and of course eat! Please contact Paul Korinko  or cell 803-640-2153 (text/voice) if you have any questions or need additional details. The church will provide plates, settings, cups and napkins. Also the Yamasee Order of the Arrow is planning to meet with us for the  meal. We will not have break-out sessions.

January 30, 2016 - Dixie Prep work at Knox Scout Reservation. This is our first Dixie Prep Day at Knox. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers. Please wear work clothes and bring gloves, water bottle, and rain gear! Work Day will happen - Rain or Shine!
