Schenectady Loves Italy, a pasta fundraiser to benefit victims of the earthquake in Italy, will take place on  Thursday, September 1 from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. on State Street in Downtown Schenectady. Inspired by the culinary work of Amatrice, Italy, the center of the quake, the fundraiser will feature pasta, salad, bread and beverages outside on the Proctors block of State Street.

Tickets at the event will be $5.00, and a single ticket will receive a small plate. Two tickets for a hungry eater! Donations can also be made online through the Fundabilities website. 100% of ticket revenue will go to aid the relief effort through the Italian Red Cross.

The fundraiser is a collaboration between Mallozzi's, Mazzone Hospitality, DeCrescente Distributing, Perreca's Bakery, the Daily Gazette, Fundabilities, Proctors and the City of Schenectady.

State Street will have limited auto access during the fundraiser, so parking in adjacent lots and the Metroplex Garage on Broadway is encouraged. Visit ParkSchenectady.com.
