School Council Update #25 - March 9, 2018
|
It's hard to believe that March Break is here already! I hope that you all enjoy a week away from the school day routine. Our Administrative Offices and Extended Day Programs are open next week.
After March Break, things get very busy in the district as we are still actively working on the current school year and start planning for the next school year. The Board will have some important discussions on upcoming meeting agendas this spring. A few things that school councils and parens will want to take note of:
- Consultation on changes to School Council Funds Management - read more here;
- Consultation about the new International Bacclaureate Program at Merivale High School - read more here;
- Input into the Ministry of Education Consultation on the Accommodation Review Process - OCDSB report to be released before March 20th;
All of the above noted items will be discussed at Committee of the Whole meeting on March 20, 2018.
Later this spring, watch for information about the development of the OCDSB Budget for next year.
There will not be a newsletter next week, but we will be back the following week.
Happy March Break!
