Monday, September 21st, 6-8 pm, Performing Arts Center
Calvin Terrell presentation to the community.  
The Sun Prairie High School MSAN Organization (Minority Students Achieving More) raised $9,000 to bring this national speaker to Sun Prairie. Calvin Terrell rallies communities around issues, such as bullying prevention and diversity.   This is a free event to be held at the High School.  We've heard he is inspiring and his perspective is life-changing!  Join us!

Please Note:
Monday's Performance and Operations Committee Meeting will be held in the High School Library at 5:30 pm to allow those attending the committee meeting to also hear Calvin Terrell speak at 6 pm.


Friday, September 25th
Pink Out
Sun Prairie students are invited to wear pink on Friday to support breast cancer awareness and research.  The football game against Janesville Craig is a Pink Out game! Wear your pink for a great cause!!  
 

Monday, September 28th, 6:30 pm in the Performing Arts Center
School District Annual Meeting 
All residents/electors of the Sun Prairie Area School District are eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting to be held at 6:30 pm in the Performing Arts Center of the high school.  The Annual Meeting Book with the agenda and 2015-2016 budget information is available on the school district website and via this link.

Please Note:
The School Board Meeting will be held at 5:30 pm on this date prior to the Annual Meeting in the Performing Arts Center.


Wednesday, September 30th, 6:30 pm in the Auditorium of Cardinal Heights Upper Middle School
District-wide parent meeting about the District's Advanced Learner Program.  (Formerly called Gifted and Talented Program) Wednesday, September 30 at 6:30 pm in the Cardinal Heights Upper Middle School  Auditorium. Open to all families to learn more about this important program.  More information about the school district's Advanced Learner Program is available on the school district website.

This new early release date is provided for professional staff development. There is only one district-wide early release date this year.  Elementary students and 4K have early release every Thursday.

Thursday, October 1st,  Sun Prairie High School
High School to Host Education Fair
A Wisconsin Education Fair for area high school students, parents, and other prospective adult students will be held in the Sun Prairie High School Field House on Thursday, October 1st from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. and from 6:30-8:30 p.m. High School students in the surrounding area are also welcome to attend this fair.

The program will provide an opportunity to obtain information about the programs of approximately 105 different post-secondary schools. Representatives of universities, colleges, technical and vocational colleges, trade schools, and the military will be present to talk about a variety of educational opportunities.

The morning session will be attended junior and senior students only. The evening session is open to any students, parents, and community members.  This is an excellent opportunity for students and parents to obtain information from a variety of institutions in a short period of time.  High school students planning to attend the Fair are asked to register in advance at www.gotocollegefairs.com Students who register will be able to print a bar code that will be scanned by the college representatives at the fair.

Financial Aid Night.  Two presentations:  6:30 pm and 7:30 pm
As part of the Education Fair, a financial aid counselor from a nearby university will make a presentation in our Performing Arts Center about the financial assistance available to students as they seek education and training beyond high school. The first presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. and the second will be held at 7:30 p.m.  Please feel free to call Sun Prairie High School Student Services at (608) 824-6729 if you have any questions.
