District Administrator's Message
This will be the final publication I share as the School District of New London's District Administrator.  Rarely have I been at a loss for words, but these past weeks have provided opportunity for reflection and I'm not certain words can do justice to the pride and gratitude I have for an organization and community that has welcomed and entrusted me to serve in this capacity.
It was especially humbling to be a part of the recent commencement celebration.  As I prepare to leave my post, I was reminded this is the generation that will 'take care' of mine.  I was getting high-fives, handshakes, and hugs from those we are looking to solve the world's problems.  From what you hear about 'kids nowadays', some might be hesitant to share my enthusiasm.  Not me...I couldn't be more confident that the Class of 2017, and those within this age span, will meet life's challenges head-on.
Please click here to read about countless points of pride that support this conviction.
'Kids nowadays' have reason to be proud.  I am both impressed and thankful.  Impressed by kids that are prepared for their future and contributing in ways I couldn't have imagined at the same age; thankful to a tremendously dedicated staff and generous community willing to do whatever it takes to ensure Success for All Students.  I look forward to following the many, continued successes of this generation and our schools.  Go Bulldogs!

With Gratitude,

Kathy Gwidt

Grand National Tournament
Forensics Finals
Four students made the trip to the Grand National Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky. Isaiah Doran, Liam Fitzgerald, Dorea Lauer, and Caleb Lauer all brought their best performances.  Special thanks to the coaches who work tirelessly to support this group of talented kids.  We are all very proud of their accomplishments!

Through forensics, many students have been given opportunities to not only make memories that last a lifetime, but also open doors to colleges and careers that would otherwise not be possible.

Lifelong Learning
Professional Development
School District of New London Middle and High School teachers learned about post secondary programming and partnerships while touring Fox Valley Technical College.

New London educators are proud to offer numerous dual credit and youth apprentice opportunities, and they are always working to learn more about ways to ensure Success for All Students

Leadership Opportunity
There is an opportunity to secure volunteer hours for anyone between the ages of 15 - 22.  We are in need of Leadership Interns which is an internship opportunity for a national non-profit organization through Invent Now.  Invent Now is the parent organization of Camp Invention which is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) experience for students in 1st through 6th grades.

If you are interested in assisting, please contact Principal Kristin Grable via email at kgrable@newlondon.k12.wi.us or by phone 715-752-4135 (Sugar Bush Elementary) or   920-667-4265 (Readfield Elementary).

It is rewarding to hear back from past Leadership Interns who request letters of recommendation or keep us updated on current accomplishments.  Please consider this awesome opportunity.

Capitol Ceremony Celebration
Parkview Elementary School students are recognized as demonstrating high achievement at the school level across content areas, and they fall within the top 10% of schools experiencing student growth in reading and mathematics.

Last year, Lincoln Elementary School was recognized with this award, and we are proud that all elementary schools have been acknowledged as either exceeding or significantly exceeding expectations as reported on the state's report card.
We are proud of the efforts that went into the attainment of this recognition.
Keep up the great work students, staff, and families!
