Back to School
Welcome to the 2017-18 school year!  Many students have participated in a variety of transition activities over these past months, and there are still several events planned.  It is always an exciting time, but one that can also be met with apprehension.  Please connect with your building principal or school counselor if there are any questions or concerns.  We look forward to an outstanding start to the new year.

Preparing for the New Year
Awesome Accomplishments
Thank you to everyone who is working tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare for the new school year.  This includes those who are cleaning, waxing, painting, repairing, mowing, landscaping, delivering new resources, roofing, resurfacing parking lots, and more.
                                                             Thank You!
Learning Year-Round
Summer Fun
New London students participated in a variety of summer learning opportunities that excited and engaged.   Camp Invention, Summer Show Choir, Band Camps, Meet and Mingle, Racing for Education, Rural Wisconsin Pre-College Camp, and more.

The Wolf River Theatrical Troupe partnered with the district to present Anne of Green Gables, Gateway Academy provided a hands-on engineering experience, Project Lead the Way biomedical students participated in activities that served as an introduction to the Health and Human Services Academy, and summer school provided opportunity to sharpen skills while having fun, fun, and more fun!

Thank you to participants, planners, and personnel who made these experiences such a success!

New London Bus Driver Awarded
Accolades and Applause
School District of New London bus driver, Ken Price, was presented an 'Excellence in Driving Award' from the Wisconsin School Bus Association for his professionalism and dedication to students.

We all know Ken as the bus driver who on February 21 compassionately and courageously tended to the needs of the children after a semi collided with his bus on Highway 45.

Accolades and applause go out to Ken and all others who helped to ensure student safety. We are grateful for the well-being of all involved.

Thank you and Congratulations Mr. Price!
New Teachers Welcomed
New Teacher Inservice
Nineteen new faculty members participated in an orientation that helped them prepare for the upcoming school year.  Welcome to the Bulldog family!
Office Update
Welcome Mr. Krueger and Mrs. Peterson
You will see a couple new faces at the District Office and Parkview Elementary School this year. Dennis Krueger, District Administrator, joined the team on July 1 and Jody Peterson, Parkview Principal, began just a few weeks later.

Jody will use her experiences in instructional coaching to support strategies that ensure success for all students.  Dennis will continue to look, listen, and learn about all that the School District of New London offers and how his service can enhance opportunities for students, staff, families, and community.

Hometown Kids
Kids From Wisconsin
Thank you to the New London Lions for bringing  Kids from Wisconsin  to New London and to local sponsors who supported this outstanding performance.

The group provided a complimentary outreach opportunity for New London youth, and later performed to a packed auditorium.

New London High School students, Emelia Roberts and Trent Kloehn proudly served as 'hometown kids'.  Emelia performed as one of the troupe's 25 singers and Trent participated as an understudy.  Mark your calendars for next summer's performance.
