Our annual Welcome Back BBQ will be held on Friday, September 8 from 2:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the field next to Harvey Hall (gym).
All current and past students, parents, and staff are invited to attend!

Clear Water Academy
Calgary Public Library Cards
In an effort to promote and support literacy at the school, we have collaborated with the Calgary Public Library (CPL) and designed branded library cards for all our students.
The cards were distributed to students in Jr. Kindergarten to Grade 12 on the first day of school, along with instructions on how to activate the card. To read activation instructions, click HERE.
We are happy to announce that the CPL Book Truck (a library on wheels!) will visit Clear Water Academy on Friday, September 8 during the Welcome Back BBQ! Bring your activated library card and sign-out some books! Books may be returned to any local CPL branch.

If you plan on volunteering your time this school year, we encourage you to attend one of our Volunteer Training Sessions. We will offer three sessions, however, you only need to attend one session.
Tuesday, Sept. 5 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 6 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 7 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

DELE (Spanish)
Any high school student wishing to challenge the DELE Spanish exam and receive a diploma certificate from the Spanish Ministry of Education that is internationally recognized, please email or speak to Señora Belisle before Thursday, September 7.
Señora Belisle will also be offering Spanish Club every Thursday during lunch recess in her classroom.

Dr. Leonard Sax Is Coming To Clear Water Academy Thursday, October 26!
Dr. Leonard Sax,
renowned physician, psychologist, and author, will be visiting Clear Water Academy in October and will present to our community on Thursday, October 26 (evening format).
Dr. Sax's presentation will focus on the theme: "Beyond Resilience," parenting un-fragile children. If you would like to purchase any of his books, please visit the main reception in Bessborough Hall.
