Shaheen's School Uniform Information


Please click here to access a new version of the 2-page Shaheen's brochure with updated information on our SMM uniform options. Remember that Shaheen's will offer a 10% discount to our SMM families on clothing from June 15-30.

Starting in the fall, there will be some uniform additions and changes. Shaheens will be carrying items with our new logo, as seen below.
The new items will be phased in over the next two years, so they are not mandatory except for buying the new red t-shirt that will be used as the PE uniform and needed for field trips. PE shorts will be required.

Free Dress Pass Exchange

During the Student Open House on Sunday, August 14, families may exchange ONE unused free dress pass PER student from this school year for a new one for the 2016-17 school year.
Field Day

Thank you to all of those who helped make Field Day a success!  
  • John Tobias who donated his DJ talent and kept the kids dancing. 
  • PTO for donating the inflatables and snow cone machines. 
  • U of L men's soccer team for coming to play with the students.

Due to being rained out on Thursday night, the SMM 7/8 grade girls soccer team is in the soccer semi-finals against St. Albert on  Tuesday, May 31 at 6:00 at Mary Queen of Peace.  If they win Tuesday, they play will play for the City Championship at a future time that has not been released.

Girls Softball Team - 5/6th grade
Congratulations to our 5/6th grade girls softball team on receiving R unners Up in the CSAA City Championship this past weekend. Great job by our players and coaches for bringing home the first softball trophy in many years. 
Track Team - Grades 5-8

Congratulations to all the participants of the SMM 5-8 Track Team that participated in the CSAA City Championship held at St. Xavier High School on April 24, 2016.  Please  click here  to view a complete listing of the SMM winners.
Girl Scouts Silver Award

Two of our recent 8th grade graduates, Olivia Hanke and Ella Springer, along with Molly Ricketts from St. Patrick's School, recently completed their Girl Scout Silver Award, the 2nd highest award in Girl Scouts, and the highest level they can achieve for their age. Their year-long work was completed when they, with friends and family, installed over 60 signs on Waterfront trash cans around the base of the Big Four bridge.
All three girls are members of SMM sponsored Troop 233.

Fall Festival Committee
Members Needed!

Want to have some fun, meet fellow parents and help SMM at the same time? Then join the PTO's Fall Festival Committee!  Our event is set for Friday, October 28th and plans will be underway this summer to make sure it's our most successful year ever.  To lend a hand and join a subcommittee, contact Event Chair Amy Craft at   amy.craft9@gmail.com or 513.519.1816. Our first meeting will be June 15th at 7:00 pm at Amy Craft's home - 305 S. Lyndon Lane.
 
Help is needed organizing the night's activities (we'll have a Halloween theme this year!), securing corporate sponsorships and items for our auction baskets, running the kitchen, and coordinating volunteers.

All married couples are invited to an evening of dinner and entertainment brought to you by the Couple's Ministry at SMM.  A date night for you and your spouse!  Dinner will be held in the Hospitality Room. Child care is provided.  Come and enjoy a night of fun with other couples and possibly test your skills at the Newlywed Game.
