Born Your People to Deliver
All seven Bible characters were born into special circumstances or were young when chosen by God to lead in delivering His people. All championed God, living by the Law-Gospel tension of His Word, trusting His promises to be with His people through difficult times, teaching God's people the meaning of "chosen" and "disciple," calling out to God on behalf of His people, standing strong in certain hope of deliverance...until Christ came as The One Born To Deliver so we could Be Transformed by Him, Live Transformed for Him, and Lead Transformed to Him!

Sertoma Winner!
Julia was presented with two plaques and a monetary gift for her winning essay on "What Freedom Means To Me".  Julia was the Shepherd winner of the annual Sertoma Freedom Week Essay Contest. Essays were written by the 8th grade students of 27 schools to express their feelings on what freedom means to them personally.  One plaque will remain at Shepherd and the other is for Julia.
Box Tops Contest
Of all the Shepherd classes, the 1st graders turned in the most Box Tops, 164 total, for the months of February and March! They will receive a Dairy Queen ice cream party and the receipt will be used for points for the Street Smarts program, a double win for Shepherd! Sixth grade came in a close second with 138 box tops!  Way to go! All students, keep on filling up the collection boxes in your classroom so your class can be the next winner-a trip to Yogurtland!
