Tune-up Run THIS SUNDAY!
The Tune-Up Run program
is designed to give you opportunities to hook up with other runners (and walkers) to train for the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half or 5k.
Schedule for each run:
8:00-8:30am - Running Room staff open store - runners & walkers welcome
8:20am - Intro & brief talk ...with a brief welcome by the Waterfront staff
8:30am - Group Runs & Walks
After run & walk - come back into the Running Room for water & Gatorade
Location: High Park Running Room
Marathon-10k, Half-7k, but of course you can run more or less than these distances if you prefer.
Tune-Up Run #2
Date: Sunday, July 7
Location: Yonge Street Running Room
Distances: Marathon-13k, Half-7k
Tune-Up Run # 3
Date: Sunday, July 28
Location: Beaches Running Room
*This Tune-up Run has a $30 entry fee with $20 going to Toronto East General Hospital Foundation
Tune-Up Run #4
Date: Sunday, August 18
Location: Whitby Running Room
Distances: Marathon-19k, Half-12k
Tune-Up Run #5
Date: Sunday, September 15
Location: Liberty Village Running Room
Distances: Marathon-23k, Half-12k
Can't run STWM this year? VOLUNTEER instead and join the race from the other side!

Reid Coolsaet to chase Canadian Record at STWM!
Last week, Canadian Olympian and World Championship marathoner Reid Coolsaet announced his participation at STWM in the Fall! Reid will aim to break Jerome Drayton's longstanding Canadian Marathon Record of 2:10:09. Title sponsor Scotiabank will also be putting up a $38,000 bonus as an incentive to beat the 38-year-old record! Sign-up today to join Reid at the start line!

Whether you walk, run or wheel, we want you to join our team. Our goal is to raise $50,000, which will be used towards the Arts and Life Skills areas of Abilities Centre, a space which encourages socialization and independence for program participants.
We are a community based program that provides relevant inclusive work and recreation opportunities for young adults with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) in natural job and community settings. Our participants are supported in our five core programs of work experience, transit training, recreation, literacy and volunteer activities. Please support this dynamic and innovative program!
