Take Youth Protection Training 2 online or at the Volunteer Service Center
Imagine a world where more people are committed to keeping kids safe. The BSA is serious about fighting child abuse, and you are an important part of that fight.

The BSA has announced bold, wide-ranging updates to its Youth Protection program as part of an ongoing effort to protect young people from child abuse.

This starts with an enhanced online Youth Protection training course all volunteers and professionals must complete.

The online course is available to all leaders now and in-person sessions will be offered on Saturdays in May and June at the Volunteer Service Center.

Scout leaders who took the previous version of Youth Protection training have been asked to log into My.Scouting.org and complete the updated Youth Protection course by Oct. 1, 2018.
The Atlanta Area Council would like to invite the 2017/2018 Dr. "Bud" Peterson Eagle Scout Class, their families, Scoutmasters, and leaders to attend the Council Eagle Scout Recognition Ceremony on Saturday, June 9, 2018. The event will be conducted at the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University and will include a keynote address from Dr. G.P. "Bud" Peterson, President of the Georgia Institute of Technology.

This ceremony will prove to be a highlight you and your family will not want to miss. This event is provided free of charge to our Eagle Scouts, their families, and leaders due to the generosity of our sponsors. The Eagle Scout Recognition Ceremony recognizes the young men of the Atlanta Area Council that attained the rank of Eagle Scout from June 1, 2017 - June 1, 2018.
Join us for the Gathering of Eagles on June 6
Once a year the Atlanta Area Council invites Eagle Scouts over the age of 21 from all over Metro-Atlanta to share memories, fellowship, network and celebrate Scouting. Together we will celebrate the 31,097 youth that we serve.

This year the council is proud to host the Gathering of Eagles at Tongue and Groove on June 6th, 2018 starting at 6:00 PM. Gather together with fellow Eagle Scouts in this rare opportunity to network, reminisce and grow stronger in fellowship. The event will include heavy hor d'oeuvres and an update on Scouting in Atlanta.
