Calling all Pittsburgh Steeler Fans!!! Here comes the Bus, that's right Steeler Great Jerome Bettis will be in town May 4th to be the keynote speaker at the Council Friends of Scouting Dinner.

 

The dinner is the primary fundraising event for the council and will be held at Richmond on Greene located at 725 Greene Street. The dinner will begin at 6:45pm with doors opening at 6:00pm.

 

Seating is limited and available on a reservation or first come first serve basis. You may register by calling the service center at

Arbor Day is coming...

 

The Conservation Committee for the Georgia-Carolina Council is providing seedlings free of charge to all troops/packs/crews. The seedlings will be handed out at Cub Fun Day - May 2.

KIOKEE RIVER MAY 7 ROUND TABLE

 

We are fast approaching the middle of 2015, and still have several adult leaders who are not Youth Protection Trained! To aid everyone with this training KR District will be offering Youth Protection Training at the May 7 Round Table. If you or someone in your unit needs this training, please attend this important class. The class will be held at Wesley United Methodist church: 825 N Belair Rd, Evans, GA 30809. The class will start at 7:00 pm. If you have any questions, please contact Ron Bane the Kiokee River District Executive.

POWDERHORN TRAINING COMING THIS SUMMER!

 

August 14 through 17, GACA Council is hosting Powder Horn Course at Robert E Knox Scout Reservation. This is a training opportunity for Venturing, Varsity, and Boy Scout Leaders and Youth (14 or older) to learn challenging and fun outdoor activities. Backpacking, Scuba Diving, Shooting Sports, Tomahawk Throwing, Expedition Planning/Cooking are some of the activities to be offered.
