PHOTO OF THE MONTH
On Saturday, April 23, 2016, Scouts, friends and family were invited on a Civil Rights Heritage Hike to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and celebrate 100 Years of Atlanta Scouting. Dr. King was a Scout here in Atlanta where our rich heritage and history in civil rights thrives. The hike began at Ebenezer Baptist Church with a welcome by Rev. Michael Wortham, Assistant Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Along the hike route, tour guides discussed some of the most iconic places and events with roots linked to the American Civil Rights Movement. Scouts sign a banner with Dr. King's photo to show that they are Scouts just like him.

We Want Your Pictures and Stories

Your Scouts are doing amazing things. Let the rest of the Council see them! Every month we'll choose one photo that best represents Scouting in Atlanta. To submit a photo or story of your Scouts, click here.
