Roundtable - February 9 

Join us for our great night of Scouting at Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church (7127 Bee Caves Road). Fellowship begins at 6:45 PM, and our program starts at 7:00 PM sharp, and ends by 8:00 PM.

This month we will focus on Webelos transition and retention for both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and we'll also have materials specific to the Cub Scout Summertime Activity Awards!

Boy Scout Troop Leaders: note that the first Camporee planning session will convene at 6:00 PM, before Roundtable!
Friends of Scouting Breakfast - February 28 

The Capitol Area Council, Boy Scouts of America is hosting a Breakfast at the Barton Creek Country Club (8212 Barton Club Dr - Austin 78735). We want to provide an opportunity for Adults and Community Leaders from all over our area to get to see each other and to hear about the exciting things happening in the Boy Scouts in Central Texas.

This is a fundraising breakfast, but there is no charge to attend. You must be invited by a Table Host. We will gather on Tuesday, February 28 at 7:30 AM, and start at 7:45 AM sharp so that we may end at 9:00 AM on the dot!

Castleton Summer Day Camp - June 5 to 9

If it's cool outside, it must be time to start thinking about the "hottest" ticket in town: the Bee Cave District Summer Day Camp at Castleton! This year's theme is Bug Hunters, and we'll have another amazing week full of water-covered, art-filled, craft-making adventure including sports, archery, science, BB guns, swimming, slingshots and more.

Camp fees will be $150 per Scout, and Tiger Scouts are welcome with their adult partners. Registration will fill very quickly, so please make a note of the registration link below, as well as the registration opening date and time! Even better, contact Jilllian Perkins, Program Director before February 15 and volunteer for one of these key positions, and get a guaranteed spot for your Scout(s): registrar team member (3 openings), sports leader, tot lot supervisor, aquatics director, archery assistant, trading post manager, quartermaster.

Camporee - April 28-30
Planning Sessions Before Roundtable!

With all facilities conflicts resolved, the date and location are firm! Camporee will be hosted at Smilin' V Scout Ranch, the weekend of April 28-30, 2017. Please join our Camporee 2017 Chair Kelly Doggett and the Troop 52 team for the first Camporee Planning session  Thursday, February 9 at 6:00 PM (before Roundtable) at Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church (7127 Bee Caves Road)!
Path to Eagle Flowchart Updated

It takes about a year for an average Scout to progress from Eagle project (Added) to Eagle board of review (Graduated). Our District continues to show a healthy flow of Scouts following the path to Eagle. Be sure to check out the recently updated Path to Eagle Flowchart below!

Eagle Scout Reception - February 25

We are proud to recognize our 2016 Eagle Scouts at a reception in their honor on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center. More information and details are available here on the Council website; the Bee Cave District will be part of the morning program starting at 9:30 AM. National Youth Leadership Training Mar. 13-18

NYLT is a week-long course held at Camp Green Dickson that gives Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, and Venturers the methods, skills, and experiences to become better leaders in their unit.
