Eagle Projects That Give True Service

Our schools in the Bee Cave District have benefited from an abundance of Eagle Projects, while neighboring schools within Austin and the Waterloo District - which often have a tremendous need, but very few Scouts - are overlooked. This presents a wonderful opportunity for our youth to honor the highest principles of Scouting, to give back to our community, and see how truly fortunate we truly are. Lisa Rushing of Troop 70, a Special Education Teacher in the Waterloo District, was inspired by her work to create a list of schools within Austin ISD to make it easier for Scouts to find needed service projects. Please click here to read more about this effort on our District website, or click here to go directly to the list on the Council's website.
Step Up for Scouts

The Boy Scouts of America program in Central Texas is among the best in the country. The Capitol Area Council currently serves over 22,000 youth in our 15-county service area. We are only 10% away from our annual goal and we need YOUR help! Your participation will impact so many and help the Capitol Area Council continue providing a quality Scouting program for our young people. One click HERE and you're on your way to Stepping Up for Scouts!

Cub Scout Leaders: be sure all your Webelos Scouts and parents have this date penciled in on their calendar. This annual event is the easiest way for all our Webelos Scouts to check out the Boy Scout Troops in our District in one Scoutcraft-filled event! It's time to find out what youth-led adventure really means for the boys, and for Webelos parents to hobnob, nosh and visit with Troop leadership to help their child find the "right" Troop for them.
