Greetings!
For a non-club, club, we've been awfully busy. Between C&C, Happy Hour, Tom's Thumb and Windgate, we've definitely got the PPE series down. With all the Parking, Posing and Eating, it might be time for a bit of exercise, for both us AND our cars! So, we planned a short drive up S. Mountain and a visit to the Copper State 1000. Check out the details below and register.
Windgate Ranch is such a stunning venue and always makes for some incredible photo ops, even I broke out the D2X. Check out some of the photos below.
If any of you have an idea for a drive, garage tour, etc, drop me an email. However, if you have a complaint, keep it to yourself! :)

Windgate Festival of Speed
THANK YOU TO ALL!!!
The Arizona Festival of Speed 2013 was another huge success, with over $10,000 raised for the Arizona 100 Club! To date we have raised ten's of thousands of dollars for the Arizona 100 Club! The weather was almost as spectacular as the vehicles displayed on the lawn at the beautiful Wingate Ranch in Scottsdale. Many of the vehicles were of historical significance and rare to be able to see this close up. Thanks to everyone involved in putting on this great event, it couldn't have been done without all of our great sponsors, the spectators who came out, the automobile enthusiast community, and I can't forget all my good friends that went above and beyond to help put this together, you know who you are! Next year is already shaping up to be bigger yet so stay tuned for info. See you all at our next monthly coffee gathering!!!

Just like C&C, Windgate Festival of Speed is quickly turning into one of the best events of its kind in the country. The quality of cars, as well as the breadth and depth is pretty much unavailable anywhere else, proving that the car culture in Arizona is second to none. Well done!

South Mountain Drive and Copper State 1000 Send Off
 We are always looking for an excuse for a drive, and the Copper State 1000 is a perfect excuse.
We'll meet at Starbucks in Central Phoenix. Take a brisk drive up S. Mountain and then head over to watch the Copper State 1000 classics head off.

Track Day!!
I've been contacted about putting together a private track day for our group in the next few weeks. The venue would be Firebird. If you have interest in attending, drop me an email with your availability either on the weekend or during the week.

Cool Garages
If you are a 'car guy', you have the dream of the 'perfect cave'... or garage. I know I do. From time to time I am going to feature some of my favorites. If you have a cool garage, or know of one, drop me a line, with some pictures and I'll feature it.
A few words from the owner...
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean from the bluffs above Santa Barbara, California, this partially subterranean garage is not just a show place for the owner's classic car collection, but a working state-of-the-art restoration haven.
Due to its unique design this fully heated and air-conditioned garage is nearly invisible from the estate above. Inside all modern conveniences for restoration are integral to the structure including car lift, pneumatic air systems, ventilation and an invisible roll-down curtain for the dirty bay.
A 'Boys' Clubhouse' (women allowed!) is a great place to relax after a day in the shop and to have a drink or catch a ball game on the big-screen TV with surround sound.

Can You Name that Car?
Do you know your classics? I am going to post some classic pictures, and your job is to see if you can name them...... and not just the make and model....... but the chassis number, driver and race location as well. If you can get it right, your coffee is on us at the next C&C! In the case that I didn't make it tricky enough, I'll pick a winner from the correct answers. Good Luck!
