And So It Begins...
The summer, we hope. The music we know! And here this Sunday to kick things off on the right "bare" foot, it's the dynamic duo from up Chequamegon Bay way.
Big Top Chautauqua fiddle virtuoso T. Bruce Bowers partners with Madeline Island magic fingers Ric Gillman on 12 string guitar. Together they're Barefoot Wonder, always one of our most popular acts each summer. Grab a dad and come enjoy Father's Day at the Rookery.
We hear there's a chance of rain showers Sunday but we're not gonna let that dampen our spirits. The Rookery team has been working hard to get our outdoor venue ready for this first performance of the season, including a brand new stage canopy to keep the band's instruments dry. Plus we have our pavilion, of course, to keep you music fans dry. So that's where we'll be if at all possible. Yet we stand ready to pull things indoors if necessary. So rain or shine, the show WILL go on!
Our entire summer music calendar, including Friday evening performances beginning in July, is now posted on our website: Live Music Calendar. It's gonna be a great summer with 25 concerts featuring 17 different performers. Including all our most popular acts from years past plus a half dozen first-timers to the Rookery stage. Pull out your summer calendar and make plans to join us!
Summer Hours Now in Effect
The Rookery is now open 7 evenings a week for the summer season, plus Sunday afternoons of course.
Wine lovers please note that our Wineaux Weekdays half price bottle special is now offered Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Meanwhile fresh fish lovers can plan on Thursdays as the day we normally bring in fresh fish for the weekend.
Beginning July 7 we'll be adding outdoor music on Friday evenings from 5 to 8 PM.
