Thanks to all our teachers and students for making our first-ever Coastweek so special!
So many stories, so many experiences, so much learning and joy. We came together as a community to celebrate the Ocean and our Coastal environment.

Visit our blog
to see all the amazing activities that our lower school teachers organized for each of the classrooms.

The Power of Role Models: Share Everything
By Dr. Tekakwitha M. Pernambuco-Wise

The first message in Robert Fulghum’s bestseller,  All I Really Need To Know I Learned in Kindergarten is  “share everything”. I experienced this lesson first-hand last Friday whilst eating lunch with our Kindergartners...
HMB Pumpkin Festival Parade
Sea Crest is looking forward to having a tremendous entry in the  Pumpkin Festival Parade this year! We are creating an Ocean themed entry and are looking for volunteers to help build the float, create costumes and participate in the parade. The float will be constructed after school on Tuesday, Oct. 11 - Thurs. Oct. 13 and during the day of Friday, Oct. 14. The Parade is Saturday, Oct. 15 at noon. Click Here to Sign Up to help out. Email Tina Lourenco with any questions.
Once again Sea Crest is proud to support International Walk to School Day!

For those who are able, we encourage you to walk or bike to school  on  Wednesday, October 5th.

We have a place to meet! Parents Rick Hernandez and Hilary Stamper  invite you to join them at 360 Poplar Street, 7:30 a.m. Parent organizers have invited local police to help accompany students.

Walking to school is important for many reasons: it's healthy, it's an opportunity for quality time and it reduces traffic and pollution on our streets. Please join us!
Crow's Nest Fundraiser for Sea Crest
Crow's Nest, a luxe women's retail haven in HMB, is hosting a private event for the parents, faculty, family and friends of Sea Crest on Thursday, October 20th, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Not only can you start your holiday shopping (and get something amazing for yourself), Crow's Nest is also donating 10% of your purchase directly to Sea Crest.

In addition to drinks and light fare, Angela and Ashley will be on hand as your own personal stylists. Save the date!  RSVP here by October 13th.
Thank you for participating in our Book Club!
Thank you to the parents who attended our first Book Cub gathering this year. We enjoyed a dynamic discussion of the book  Why Gender Matters by Leonard Sx, M.D., Ph.D.

On  Tuesday, January 24th, 2017, we will be discussing the Richard Weissbourd's book  The Parents We Mean To Be.

We look forward to seeing you next time!
Thanks to our fifth-grade families who volunteered at the Harvest Party!

Wildlife Associates was very appreciative and will be bringing a special assembly to Sea Crest as a thank you for your efforts. The students voted this week and have selected "Creepy Critters" for our school assembly.

Be on the look out for the date in the Sea Crest Currents. We hope you can join us!
