The legal bluefin tuna fishing season is over and we are ready for direct action! The Steve Irwin and the Brigitte Bardot are patrolling Mediterranean waters looking for any sign of fishing activity continuing. It was this time last year that we caught an illegal bluefin operation, dove in, cut the nets, and freed over 800 illegally caught bluefin tuna. This year, we hope the poachers won't be so greedy, but we are prepared and we will not stand down!
Thanks to your steadfast support, we are able to defend bluefin tuna and our other clients like the whales, dolphins, and sharks. Sea Shepherd fills a void in the conservation movement.  Our compassion for life extends beyond our ocean-dwelling clients. We hold human life with the utmost respect. In fact, no one has ever been killed or seriously injured, on either side, during our entire 34-year history. We do what we can to help and were happy to help a Tunisian fisherman last week who was in need of urgent medical attention.

Cathay Pacific Airlines Participates in Dolphin Slave Trade

 Perhaps those who care about the plight of dolphins should remember this story when they make decisions about which airline to patronize.
Our crew recently documented the dolphin slave trade in action, as six captive dolphins were held in crates for many hours before being loaded onto a Cathay Pacific Airlines flight bound for the People's Republic of China.
Please be advised that U.S. based American Airlines just entered into a codesharing arrangement with Cathay Pacific. British Airways and Qantas Airlines are also in that elite group.
